I was checking the BlogCatalog.com blog, and Discovered that BlogCatalog and BloggersUnite.org have a group on Facebook now! So, I decided to join because it’s a great idea to follow up BlogCatalog news and events on Facebook group!
The weird thing is that BlogCatalog Facebook Group currently only has about 40 members, maybe the BlogCatalog Team have to pay attention to it. I also keep wondering why BlogCatalog members are not showing on BlogCatalog blog too much, not even the Blog Directory, I think they prefer the discussions, and oh by the way discussion on BlogCatalog is so hot.
There is another thing BlogCatalog that I want to tell you about it, the Amazing BlogCatalog Shout box that shows on each member’s profile, this is an active aria on BlogCatalog, members shout out to each other to say hi or to promote their blogs, I can say it can be used as a Marketing Tool if you know how to use it, but be careful because you will really hate yourself if the community considered you a spammer and panned your account.

Do you do a lot of Blog promotion on Facebook? I don’t get much traffic from there. it is 98% of real people I know and most of them could care less about blogging, etc. Just curious. Most of my traffic comes from Twitter.

Yes @Julie M, I promote almost all my posts, and also I connect my Twitter to do this for me on Facebook, but still not getting Traffic from facebook.
My traffic comes mostly from BogCatalog, Mixx and Google search!
I think you should join some groups on facebook, and then promote your posts inside of the groups, you don’t have to get lots of friends to do that!
I’m currently not very active on either, but I’ll check it out.

I’ve been using the site for about 4 months now and it really is a good community with really active and engaging people on it. If you run a blog and want to connect with other bloggers, then Blogcatalog is a good place to go.
