I am using this great plugin running on my blog, I was interested on the author of it, I was trying to find a way to add My Life Thinking submissions to work from my blogs to My Life Thinking community, it was a try to discover how this plugin works and also to make something to share with the Elgg community , so after following the steps on the author’s page it works for me and I could make an icon for my community and added it to the sociable plugin, you can see it at the end of this post, on the sociable row of buttons.
If you are using Elgg to run your own community and you would like to add your community to the sociable plugin, then you will need this update for the sociable plugin for WordPress, the compressed file have 2 files:
- sociable.php
- mylifethinking.png
You can update your blugin by extracting the file and upload the folder to your plugins directory if you have installed sociable already on your blog, if you don’t have sociable then go to the plugin page and download it, install it, and then use my update files to update the plugin, and start discovering how I made it, by changing the code that has my life thinking on it, and replace it with yours, it will works just fine to bookmark any page from the internet to your own Elgg community.
Using this update will help you to make your own update, make sociable works for your community, it’s a nice way to spread your community through WordPress blogs by providing this option on the sociable plugin.
