How to Create a Forcing Comment Post and get more than 100 Comments?

This seem to be so difficult for some of us, specially new Bloggers which will never think this is possible, but  in this post I am going to show you how to create a 100 comment post easy, it’s just a matter of  choosing the kind of post that will attract visitors to add a comment.

Yeah, maybe you have started to get the point now, it’s all about the topic you are writing about, there is some posts that will force visitors to comment on it by their own choice, this is what I call it a forcing commenter post :)

How to create a 100 comment post?

If you check my blog posts, you will find that the average of comments is between 10 to 30 comments per post, and this blog is kind of new, so what is the secret?

The secret behind this average of comments is not the quality of my posts, but it depends on how active I am on other blogs, and how many comments I can post everyday on other’s blogs.

First let’s check my post that I made before about blogs using WP CommentLuv plugin, I have planned this post to have a list of 100 blogs use CommentLuv, and probably 200 comments, it was very easy to reach the 100+ comments, of course not all of them are from my bog visitors as I try always to reply to each comment on my posts, but the number of 200 comments will come soon when the list is complete!

This post is my first one that reached 100+ comments, and I was thinking about planning more posts like this one, but the main tip is to plan it well to reach your goal.

If you have a successful story or a successful post that reached more than 100 comments, plz tell me about it no matter how old it.

Make sure to add a comment when ever you visit my blogs, if I found something interesting on your blog maybe I will mention it on the coming Zebida Fridays post, if you are an active commenter, this will give me a bigger motivation to check your blog posts, and of course if your blog is on my list of  100 blogs use CommentLuv I will be there when ever I have a chance to spend some time on your blog discovering your good stuff!

  1. Hi,

just wanted to let you know that your link to your list is incorrect. You are missing the ‘main’ folder.

I added it in your link then it works fine.

I think this is very interesting but I think points must be stressed more.

I’d agree though that when you spend time commenting on other blogs, that only means they’ll comment on your post as well whatever topic you’re talking about.

You have done a good work in a short span. I consider comments as motivation, but you can’t measure the success of blog with motivation.

Hi. Commenting on other peoples blog is definitely one form to obtain more visitors for your blog. If you get visitors, then most likely they will leave a comment, even if it is just for reciprocation. Added with commentluv enabled blog and you are on the go.

I have posted a while ago, about the Power of commenting and why it is sometimes ignored. You might want to check that out. http://www.iblogzone.com/2009/04/commenting-101-power-sometimes-ignored.html

Well that’s what brought me here. Your comment on my blog got me here.

Your idea of how to drive comments is great. I’ll have to think about how I can apply something similar.

Another point to make is that you should try and answer your comments. Obviously if you get a lot of comments it is impossible to answer them all. But I feel an effort should be made to at least acknowledge your followers/visitors or you will enventually have a blog that people visit but may not comment on your post no matter how insightful it is.

  14. Hi,
Yes, adding comment luv, and the number of other blogs you comment on is important.

    A few other factors
    * How popular you are (A list bloggers!!)
    * The extent you ask questions
    * Of course, relevant and useful content also go a long way.

p.s: Glad I stumbled upon your blog for the first time. It has a wealth of useful posts.

    1. Time
    2. No guarantee of expected response
    3. It’s really challenging & for newbies, a difficult task, to come up with such topics. What do you say?
