Something I hate When I Comment on Google Blogs!

by on February 13, 2009

One of the things that I really hate, is when I have to post a comment on Google Blogger.com, Specially when this comments popup window open for me when I click on “add a comment”, I hate this so badly that sometimes I just close the page and never open it again unless it has something I really want to read.

I don’t know why people some times close the option on comments for non Blogger.com blogs, and make it only for Blogger.com users, I think this decrease commenters who want to link to their blogs, and they don’t have a Google Blogger account.

I always remember my behavior when opening a blog to read something, When I like what it’s written I go for comment, I study my behavior some times to recognize what is the best for my blog,  If comments are not easy for the visitor of your blog, I am sure he will change his mind about posting a comment, specially if he have to spend more time doing more clicks before he can post his comment.

It would be better to set the comments to show inside the post, and let your visitor comment on the form on the same page, and stop this popup form being show.

I must say that Blogger.com is much easier for new bloggers who can not run a self hosted blog using WordPress for example as an open source content management system. I think WordPress have a better user friendly interface, and comments are in a better shape, and easy for your visitors.

I don’t know.. but I am against the Comment Popup Windows!

yeah.. i agree with u..

and i luv to see some bloggers use embed comment section for their posts.

i think blogger should disable the popup comments – for the sake of its users.

I totally agree about those pop ups and other hindrances to commenting on blogs. It should just be so much easier to comment!

I have a blogger blog that I may move to another platform because no one likes the way those comments work.

@ Bob – I am really sorry to hear that!

It seem the comments on blogger is annoying lots of people!
I know it gives you more options to choose from to let others know about you, or to comment from other accounts so you are not forced to be stocked with bloggers account when you comment.

By the way.. I can not open your blog!
